The Democratic Creed is our foundation: a statement of shared democratic values grounded in the Declaration of Independence itself — freedom, justice, opportunity for all, and the fundamental American belief that all people are created equal.

Our mission is to establish the Democratic Party as the champion of these values, to fundamentally shape the meaning of the word “Democrat” for Americans, and to set a North Star for what American democracy itself stands for.

We are not a PAC.
We do not endorse candidates or support political campaigns.
We cannot.

Our efforts directly affect winning in the present, but our mission is long-term: to help build a stronger democratic culture and a clearer sense of who Democrats are and what they stand for.
