Democratic Creed Debuts at Pennsylvania’s Demstock

VENANGO COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS — Jim Purvis and the Democratic Creed held the stage at Demstock 2022 … and yes, the “stage” was an actual soapbox, in a pavilion in rural Pennsylvania.

Purvis, author of Democrats 101: A Primer For Us, was a guest at Demstock 2022. Just a week after a whirlwind tour of Ohio, Purvis and local Pennsylvania supporters manned a table in the center of the action. Fronted by a soapbox, emblazoned with the words “Some Things Need To Be Said” and “Are You Angry?,” Democrats 101 provided the backdrop for an array of passionate speakers, including State Representative (and recent candidate for the U.S. Senate nomination) Malcolm Kenyatta, former Rural Caucus Chair Terry Noble, and other notable Keystone State Democrats.

Jim spoke to the gathered Democrats while playing MC for the morning and afternoon soapbox sessions (watch 3 Jobs Needed and The American Flag). The central theme was Democratic values, giving Jim a chance to deliver the core message of the Democratic Creed to an enthusiastic audience. Many Democrats went home with copies of Democrats 101: A Primer for Us, some of them as prizes in a lottery.

With over 350 Penn Dems in attendance for the weekend, Demstock 2022 was an excellent opportunity for Dems101 to win over new fans, expanding its base of supporters into rural Pennsylvania. Democrats 101 looks forward to next year when an expanded Demstock in Indiana County (PA) hopes to include rural counties from neighboring Ohio and New York. We’ll be there!

About Demstock
